Place Spanish moss in the bright light of an east- or west-facing window. Make sure the plant is just outside the reach of direct sunlight in the summer. It's fine in direct sunlight the rest of the year.
Maintain temperatures close to 80 degrees Fahrenheit in spring, summer and fall. Reduce temperatures to 60 degrees F in winter to encourage the plant to take a rest break.
Spray Spanish moss with water at least twice weekly. Cover the entire plant. Use less water next time if it doesn't dry within four hours.
Reposition Spanish moss as necessary to accommodate new growth. Hold it in place with pins, glue or floral wire.
